Technology gives stress to the management which results very badly. After effected by the stress, the managers start finding the solutions to get rid off this stress. After researching for some time, they found the solutions to manage the stress which is called stress management. Firstly, management finds the reason of having stress and they come to know about that every employee has stress because of technology, but in different ways. Most of the employees do not get enough and good sleep, so they are suffering from sleep deprivation. They are causing from this deprivation because they use the technology in a very excessive way. These employees are working from their home as well, so the management suggests them to stop working from home and complete your all work in the office, so that they do not need to check all the emails and answer the phone calls while they are sitting with their family. The management tells them that they should spent more time with their family and make a good schedule for their sleeping. The management also suggests the employees that they should tell everybody that they will reply and answer the phone calls only in the office hours. Let say the employee will not answer any email after 8 pm. This idea helps a lot to the employees and the managers to get relief from the stress.

The second reason the management found about having stress is the changes are occurring in the technology, and the employees are not able to adapt such a fast change. As everybody knows that everyday new technology comes into the market, and the company needs to adapt that technology for the sake of company’s goodwill. The system is very advance in the technology that it takes few days to understand it. The management suggests that they will make a different department of technicians who is dealing with the new technology and help the employees to be comfortable with it. After adapting this idea, the employees are having ease with the technology.

After that, the management realizes that there are some employees who are tensed because they are having great workload. They are doing many things at the same time, so they are tensed to complete all the work in meantime and in the correct way, so that the company can make the good profits. These employees are requesting the management to reduce their workload, so that they can be stress free and can able to get the good sleep as well. The management is also trying to divide the equal work in each of the employee, so that no one is getting very less, and no one is getting too much pressure of the work.

Beside from these things, the management is also trying to make the stress-free environment in the company, so that everybody can work freely. In order to give motivation to the employees the management is trying to make some trips and tours with their employees, so that the employees get motivated towards their work and give their 100% performance in order to make the good profits to the company.

If the technology has advantages, then it means it also has disadvantages as well. Technology designed to make the manager’s life easier, but it seems that it makes it more stressful. Now managers are doing everything on computers, and latest technology comes into market which the company needs to adapt it for the sake of the company’s goodwill. The managers are having problem to change with the new technology every time which makes their life stressful. Customers also buy things from those companies which are up to date with the technology, and the management needs to be updated with the new system which is creating very problems to them. As managers constantly try to cope with the everyday stress, but they are often confronted with additional stress from the effects of technology and technology related responsibilities. Sometimes technology also break down or shut down which means that all the work is stop at a time, so the management needs to cope with this type of situation also and make sure that system does not get any bad impact on it.

With the adaption of the technology the manager becomes multitasking. He is doing different tasks at the same time. It increases the productivity of the company, but on the other side it is creating stress to the manager because he needs to be careful all the time to do things in a very frequent time and in a correct order. He needs to handle everything at the same time which is very hard and stressful thing. With the online system, the managers and customers are engaging through the emails, so it means that when the manager is at his home, he still can connect with the customer. It means that he is doing his work even though when he is at his home, which clarifies that managers are having stress from this technology anywhere and everywhere. Employees can also be connected with each other through the technology. Nowadays the employees from the same company are more connect with each other through the emails or from video conferencing which means they are having less physical interactions which causes some employees feel stressed, alone and isolated.

The management is greatly affected by the stress which is causing by using the technology. It effects the physical and mental well being of the employees. The employees are getting different kind of body pains. They are getting headaches and sleep deprivations. If they are having stress from longer periods it could badly affect their body which means that they can get mental illness also. It is affecting them emotionally as well. The stress can induce frustration, irritation, apathy and generally feeling overwhelmed or overworked. It also impacts on employee’s cognitive and behavioral capacity. Under stress, their minds are open to racing thoughts, mental slowness, confusion, difficulty with comprehension, and an overall negative attitude. They feel to be stay alone more and socialize less. It can create bad health problems such as heart disease and blood pressure.

After adapting the technology by management, the managers find it very difficult to use it. After getting correct coaching, training and by practicing, the management is using the technology in a good way. They find the different types of benefits of using the technology. Their work life became easier. The first benefit is that the management becomes more efficient by using technology. Now, all the work is done by the computers, so it becomes easy for the mangers to keep the track for everything. Now they do not need to write everything on the papers and keep the huge bundle of documents, because now they are doing all these things on the computers. They are keeping the different types of files including all the data which is required. The most important thing is when the managers were keeping the records manually, the errors can be happened, and the managers need to rectify those errors which means they had to go through from all the files and documents which was very time wasting. After using the technology, the computers can rectify the errors by its own which means that the managers can utilize their precious time in other things rather than checking the errors.

The other benefit is that the management can do their business outside from its geographical boundaries. Now all the system is online, so the management can send and receive the emails. Within the frame of few seconds, the management can send and receive the different type of information to their customers or dealers. They can make good relationship with their dealers and customers. They can be in their contact for 24/7, which helps the management to expand the business. The management are having good communication inside and outside from the company. They can make different kinds of deals by using video conferencing where they can talk with their potential customers and dealers. They can sell their product in every part of the world. By making deals online helps the management to reduce the expenses on travelling and helps them to save the time as well.

Another important benefit is the security feature. When the management is keeping the records manually, there is always the chance to lose some potential data or gets stolen, the management always needs to be attentive to safe the data. After getting the technology, the management could safe their data by using the security feature. There are many antiviruses software is available in the market which works as a wall between the computer and the unwanted websites. These antiviruses do not allow the unwanted website to go through the management’s information.

Adaptation of Technology by Management

As in the past, the managers are doing all things manually which makes it difficult to manage the work. In order to get rid of the manual system, the technology came into their lives. It is supposed to make their life easier. At first managers found it very difficult to adapt to the new technology. The technology was giving hard time to the management, which increases the stress among the managers. The main thing which is found very difficult by managers that technology is changing rapidly. The new technology with some updated versions are there in the market. The management cannot step back from the new innovations because the market is adapting new technology, and customer also prefer to buy the products from those companies who are updated with new system. It became a great stress for the management regarding the technology. The competition also gets harder day by day. Management faced different types of problems.

By adopting the new technology system, there were changes occurred in the relationships of the employees and their behavior was also changed. It impacted the politics of the organization. The employees who have certain skills to do something was threatened because they thought that might they would lose their jobs. This became the big concern for the management to tell their employees that nothing would be happened to their jobs.

The main problem which was faced by the management was that the employees are not comfortable with the new system. They did not know how to operate the system, because the employees were comfortable in manual system, so when they met with the technology, it was totally a new world for them. Most of the employees were not accepting to learn the technology as they had afraid of losing jobs. Management was also concerned about this thing and made a believe with the employees that no one will be fired. When the management got the support of their employees, they arranged special courses, classes and training for their employees to get familiar with the technology. It took some time by the employees to learn a new thing, but at the end of the day, they learned this system and get back to work. This was the major difficulty which was faced by the management while adopting the new system.

The other problems which were facing by the management at that time was that the employees were not communicating with each other regarding the technology. In order to get everybody in the communication, the management need to hire some people outside from the organization.The management was telling their employees about the benefits of using the new innovative system. If the technology is used properly by the employees then the company can get a great profit which will be beneficial for the employees also, as they will get some extra on their salaries, but if the technology is not used properly then it can make the worse also. Company does not able to make anything. In the end, the organization adopt the technology in a positive way after facing lots of problems.

In my first blog post, i am going to talk about the management from it’s past times.

How management works in the past without the technology?

In the very beginning, the management comes into existence in order to manage the  company’s business. The main role of the management is to keep the track of the works which is going in the company. The main thing about the manager’s work is that, he needs to do all work manually,  as there is no technology or internet at that time. The manager’s work is very hard, as he is keeping so many books to keep the record of each thing which is happening in the company in each and every second. After sometime, the company decides to split the management into different parts, which help managers a lot to do their work more efficiently because their work is divided now. The managers also get relief after dividing the management.

There are different management styles come into the life of the company.  Now in every department of the company has more than one manager, to do the different types of activities. The first management style is autocratic in which manager is the “ruler,” and he is the one going to decide what work should be done and by whom? The manager finds it difficult as he has to decide everything by his own. He is not supposed to ask someone else about their opinions. After autocratic, coaching style come into existence. This type of manager is the leaders and the coaches at the same time. They lead their team by giving them correct directions to meet the objectives of the company, and get the opinions of the team members, but the final decision has need to be taken by the manager only. This is good style of management, but the manager needs to set the meetings with team members many times in a week, which makes the work slower also, as the manager needs to think every-time before making any decision.

After that two styles, democratic management style is used by the company. In this style, the manager listens to his team, collaborate with them and invest the value time with the team to produce the better results. In the every decision of the department included the opinions of the team members. This management style also takes lots of time to produce the results and make the decisions because everything is happening manually. Lastly, visionary management style helps the employees a lot to do the better and fast work. In this style, the manager helps the employees to see the impossible things as possible. This type of manager is very creative and enthusiastic towards their work which helps employees to being motivated towards the organisational goals, but these types of managers have a lot of work to do.

Stress Management
